Since she can remember, two sentences frame Amie’s way of living: “If you going to do it, do it well” and “I wake up and French kiss the morning”.
When relating and working with Amie these two ideas became crystal clear. Her level of dedication and accountability in everything she does is undeniable, combined with what has been described by clients, colleagues and friends as a bubbly, contagious, sunny energy.
She explains that since she was a little girl her grandfather told her that whatever she did she had to give it her all; a motto turned core value, that turned into her personal and professional attitude. On top of this, she says “life is precious, and it should be lived to the fullest” reiterating why that one sentence from the song “Bed of roses” from Bon Jovi serves as her reminder to carpe diem.
Amie is a strong believer in growth and development, be it professional or personal. She always says: “we are one person, so these are two sides of the same coin”. For this reason, when working with her, clients feel that she genuinely cares for them. She is able to deep dive, asking the challenging questions, setting up the conditions for success and still wittingly balancing the push and pull necessary for true change to happen.
Her ability to connect due to her intrinsic curiosity for people and desire to support them in their own growth is complemented with a strong focus on the process that will secure results. This means Amie is attentive to details, rigorous with content, knowledge and methodology and enjoys going deep in the work she does, the conversations she has or the training she delivers.
Deep down Amie is all of the above and also someone driven to serve those around her. This means in her spare time she loves being with family and friends, spending quality time with them, talking about everything and nothing and mostly enjoying great food. The most blissful challenging adventure is loving and raising her baby girl that is a mini version of herself and a constant reminder that life is amazing.
Amie has a degree in Psychological Sciences from Buckinghamshire New University and a Masters in the Psychology of Human Resources, Work and Organizations from the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon. She is a Master in Reiss Motivation Profile® conducting team workshops and individual Reiss Motivation Dialogues. During her time at the Lisbon Toastmasters Club in Portugal, she served as a mentor and obtained the certificate of Advanced Communicator and Advanced Leader from Toastmasters International.
