Attentive, curious and always available to help those around him are three ways of describing Luís. He easily puts himself in someone else’s shoes, to have a better understanding and provide the best possible experience. Empathy and his ability to listen allow him to establish true partnerships based on trust with colleagues and clients.
In personal and professional situations, he is a calm and thoughtful person, who can (for the lucky ones) surprise with his intelligent sense of humour. We often hear Luís say “I understand but it is not worth us losing our calm because it will not change the situation. Let’s focus on the solution”. It is with this attitude of tranquillity that he manages to find the best path, especially because he can combine his wisdom to his critical and analytical spirit.
Despite being strong with numbers, deep down Luís is a “people person”. From the many friends he has and with whom he likes to invest his time, to the humanitarian causes he gets involved in, there is a common denominator: he gives himself deeply to bring more happiness and fulfilment to the lives of others. It is not surprising, therefore, that he became a Work Psychologist contributing to bringing out the best of people individually and in their teams.
Another team he contributes to, in his spare time, is his roller hockey team. And as with all the activities Luis is involved in, his dedication and commitment are undeniable which helps to explain why is one of the team captains.
He has a master’s degree in Work and Organizational Psychology from the University of Coimbra and has 10 years of experience in Consulting and Training. He has several certifications in motivational, behavioural and talent diagnostic tools, in particular the Reiss Motivation Profile®. He also studied in Florence, is pursuing a postgraduate degree in Sports Psychology and has collaborated on several international, academic and personal projects.
There is one more core trait of Luís, that makes it very difficult not to like him: his middle name could be Flexibility. Luís has a profound ability to adjust, be it relating to actions or relationships.
